Evangelism is about sharing
God's story and your story. His story of
freedom and forgivness. Your story about new life and
new beginnings. It's important to us, because people
matter to God and He has called each of us to reach
out and help others discover new life in Jesus.
Every person that has a heart for Christ will have
a heart for lost and fallen people.
Part of our purpose as a Christ follower is to share
the great news about Christ's life!
Backyard:
At GCC, we believe everyone has a story. And
when your story connects to God's story...it needs to
be told. That's what it means to be His witness, it
means to talk about how Jesus has changed your life
and given you hope, peace and true happiness. We believe
that starts right here at GCC, in our Backyard. Here
is how you can start sharing your story right here,
right now!

Sunday
Mornings
If you have a friendly smile and a warm personality,
then God can use you to reflect His love through the
First Impressions team. First Impressions is a
team of greeters, ushers and workers at the information
desk who can be a witness for Christ to those God is

Mugs
& Kisses
God wants to use a mug full of Hershey kisses and you
to make someone feel welcomed and apprieciated?
After someone visits GCC our goal is follow-up and let
them know that we loved sharing this Sunday with them.
So we take them a mug full of kisses and drop it off
at thier residence. It's amazing to know that
God often uses common things and common poeple for His
amazing purposes.

Accross the Street:
"But you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses
in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends
of the earth." - Acts 1:8
God wants each of us to take our story Across the Street
to our friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members. As
a church, it is our passion to reach out and share the
love of Christ in a language our world understands.

MOPS
stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International
exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban,
and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen,
single, and married moms - moms with different lifestyles
who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms
they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy
to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship
and are filled with unique needs.

Around the World:
Backyard,
Across the Street and Around the World...
that's where God is calling us to go and reflect
His greatness. At GCC we are passionate
about being God's hands in God's world.
That's why we provide you with plenty of opportunities
to get involved in missions. Below is a
list of active and projected mission adventures
for the year. They range from gift bags
and boxes for kids to building churches overseas.
Wherever God has you right now, there is a mission
adventure that fits you. Pray and seek how
God can use you around the world. |

Operation
Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child brings
joy and hope to children in desperate situations around
the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good
News of God’s love. This program of Samaritan’s
Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages
to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project
while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus
Christ, God’s greatest gift. Along with shoe box
gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets
in their own language. In 2004, we collected over 7.4
million shoe box gifts worldwide and distributed them
to children in 95 countries. This is open to everyone.
Inner City Christmas Bags
Each year we reach out into the inner city
of STL and show Christ's love by providing gift bags
for children. Each bag is filled with needs and
some wants to encourage kids and give them hope that
God is watching over them and people do care.
Upon receiving the bags the children are led in singing
songs to the Lord and a bible study about God's amazing
Christmas gift, His son. You can do a mission
by filling a bag with your family and delivering it
in December. This is open to everyone.

GCC Bread Basket
With many families in need of
immediate help with food, diapers and other non-perishable
goods you can do a mission simply by donating to the
GCC Bread Basket food pantry. This is a great
way to do a mission weekly, monthly or annually.
If you can shop, you can be a blessing through the Bread
Basket. This is open to everyone.
